PXRErotica aims to deeply explore the intersections of sex and romance, specifically but not limited to kink, non-monogamous and polyamorous
lifestyles. Pleasure, desire, eroticism are embraced as inherent to
human functioning; an area the therapeutic space has often ignored or overlooked.
PXRErotica is designed especially for Black folkx to ethically explore alternatives to Western
romantic and relational norms and confronts the stigmas and biases latent within “traditional” monogamous culture. This space is also designed to address the pleasure gap amongst the genders, as these phenomena impact women's sexual development in unique and enduring ways.
Through the exploration and development of sexual and romantic identities, PXRErotica assists clients
in reintegrating the sexual self into their overall life experience. Eroticism is celebrated as a lifestyle (as opposed to a luxury or privilege) and
centers desire as a compass for navigating the world in the achievement of self
actualization and fulfillment.
